(3 Hours) Emphasizes the development of critical and logical thinking skills. The purpose of this course is to develop the skill necessary to think and make decisions before an audience in a short time period. This course is designed to help the individual become a more critical listener and communicator. Emphasis will be placed on interpersonal and public commu- nication. Class activities and presentations provide the nec- essary experience to communicate more effectively. Empha- sizes the verbal question, information sources, and memory organization and development skills. The individual should be able to learn to answer questions in a competitive arena, using critical and logical thinking skills to be prepared to answer questions verbally. The individual will have the opportunity to participate on a team at Academic Excellence Challenge events.
