(3 Hours) Prerequisite: 6 hours Early Childhood courses This course is designed for practitioners who work with children and families. Students will develop skills for quality observation and documentation associated with young chil- dren. Ethical considerations and confidentiality are dis- cussed. Students will review theories of development and conduct observations to "make or break" their theories. Students need to be able to identify an appropriate setting for observations. Ideas for positive interactions with children are threaded throughout the course.
