(2 Credit Hours) Prepares students to become certified in all-position Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and/or Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) in accordance with the standards of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) or the American Welding Society (AWS). Submitting test specimens to a licensed local materials laboratory is optional and requires an additional fee. This is a 95% hands-on laboratory course. Prerequisites: TAMJ 120 and TAMJ 125 Note: Summer semester for Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship starts in early May and ends in August. Students should consult the Class Schedule for specific course times and dates.
