A study of cast iron and alloy steels used in the tool and die industry, the effects of the alloys on tools and dies, and successful use of the welding process. Skill development in welding and repair of these cast irons and steels incorporate SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW processes. This is a 70% hands-on laboratory course. Prerequisites: TAMJ 120
