This course introduces the uses of technology in creating, promoting and managing music. Students will gain practical experience through handson projects. Topics to be covered include basic computer operation, MIDI set-up and uses, using music notation software, using music instruction software, and the uses of spreadsheets and word processors to manage musical events. Students are required to spend time outside of class in the music technology lab in order to complete assignments.
