(3 Credit Hours) Intended for students who are involved in a curriculum for elementary teachers. Topics include problem solving, an introduction to logic, set theory, number theory, numeration systems, whole numbers, and fractions. Concept development, communication skills, both oral and written, and problem solving skills will be addressed in accordance with the NCTM Standards. Topics in algebra will be integrated throughout. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in MATH 110 or a satisfactory score on the placement test. Completion of or concurrent enrollment in ENG 131
