BIO 261 focuses on the structure and function of nucleic acids along with chemical and physical techniques commonly used when working with these molecules. Lectures and laboratories emphasize the principles and applications of modern biochemical analyses used in biotechnology and related genomic fields. This course is designed to satisfy the requirements of the Biotechnology program. Seven hours of integrated lecture and laboratory per week. Prerequisites: CHEM 141, BIO 152, and ENG 131
