(4 Credit Hours) A comprehensive overview of the operating principles of the diesel engine, including the construction, service and diagnosis of the various engine systems and sub-systems. The latest technological advancements in electronic fuel delivery systems, their diagnosis and service will be covered along with the most recent advances in diesel fuel and Bio-diesel technology. Extensive laboratory experiences are provided to enhance classroom activities. Note: ASSET Program: AUTO 231 will only be offered in the Winter Semester in even-numbered years.
