This course is a study of the pest problems that affect greenhouse crops, nursery crops and woody plants in the landscape. Along with learning insect life cycles, students will participate in releasing live biological insects in the greenhouses. Special emphasis will be given to understanding how to manage environments using a combination of practices such as cultural, biological and chemical controls. This is a preparatory study for taking the Minnesota Department of Agriculture Pesticide applicators license test for categories A/E. (Prereq: None) (BP) 2 cr
