This two-credit course is designed to prepare and review for the national Fluid Power specialist certification test. There will be a study guide with many practice problems to solve along with lecture time. It is intended for an individual who has two years of technical training or adequate industrial experience and/or mechanical engineering background. Areas to be covered will include individual hydraulic and pneumatic components, air logic, proportional and servo valves, physics, circuit design, troubleshooting, instrumentation, sound measurement, electricity and conductors.
