This course is designed to provide the student with the basic electronic concepts as they apply to semiconductor diode and rectifier circuits including special purpose diodes such as light emitting diodes, laser diodes, varactor diodes and zener diodes. The student will compute component and circuit parameters. These will then be compared with measured data. Circuits will be designed and evaluated by breadboarding and/or computer simulation software. (Prereq: ELEC1101 or equivalent) (EP) 2 cr
