In this course the student will learn the skills needed for automotive air conditioning service. It includes system theory of operation, temperature-pressure relationships of R-12 and R134a refrigerants, performance testing, reclaiming, recycling and recharging air conditioning systems. Heating, ventilation, and controls will also be covered. This course meets all applicable National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) standards. (Prereq: ATEC1615) (BP/EP) 4 cr
