An introductory course in linear and angular measurement; applications of math calculation on practical shop projects using common measuring and layout tools; direct measurement and simple layout using basic geometric construction and principles of squaring; blanking and procedures for development of simple patterns with allowances for common edges and seams; use of common three factor equations and application on cylindrical objects and rectangular objects with edges and seams; emphasis on accuracy in linear and angular measurement, squaring, and direct measurement layout.
