This course is designed to expand student learning of nursing principles and concepts to include care of the evolving family with emphasis upon the childbearing process, human sexuality and reproduction. The client and family will be viewed holistically along a wellness/illness continuum grounded in principles of biopsychosocial sciences. Critical thinking, cultural and ethnic diversity, and teaching/learning principles are woven throughout the course.Prerequisites: NUR 1319, NUR 1222.
