Introduction to the basic principles of design, planning and construction of projects. Students will learn to use and care for hand tools and will work with all common materials and supplies used in the wood shop. Safety procedures and standards will be emphasized at each phase of the course. Elementary techniques of finishing and upholstery will be taught as required for the completion of projects.
