This course focuses on the farm accounting system and tax management. Topics include receipts, expenditures, physical inventories, financial inventories, production records, labor and machinery records, financial analysis records and payroll. Electronic accounting systems will be included when available. The course also will include a thorough study of the IRS requirements of the ag producer.
