Hrs This study includes pre-operative assessment of the surgical patient, the desired actions of preoperative medications, psychological preparation of the surgical patient, the types and effects of anesthetic agents including: general inhalation agents and methods, neuromuscular blocking agents, spinal, epidural, local and regional anesthetic delivery. Perioperative airway and respiratory management, postoperative hemodynamic management, and pain management are discussed. The course ends with safe transportation a post operative patient. Prerequisites: Application and admission into the program and Pharmacology for first assistants (SUFA 288)
