2 Cr. Hrs Instruction and practice in oxyacetylene welding of lightgauge metal, pipe, brazing, and hard facing. Students will learn the safe practice of cutting, brazing, and welding. This course also includes instruction and application with practice in manual and machine cutting of ferrous and nonferrous metals. The cutting skills developed will include techniques for air carbon arc, plasma arc, and oxyacetylene cutting processes and panagraph cutting. May be repeated with 4 credit hours accumulated.
