5 Cr. Hrs The course will consist of assigned clinical experiences as surgical first assistant in General Surgical procedures, a written grand rounds presentation, and attendance at Grand Rounds presentations at your local hospital. This clinical rotation will include a day spent in both the Cancer center, and the X-ray department for radiation studies. Students must scrub a minimum of 35 General surgical procedures and 10 endoscopy procedures with an approved clinical preceptor. Prerequisites: Application and admission into the program and SURT 288, 291,292,293,294 and proof of personal liability insurance
