Available: fall, spring 4 Cr. Hrs An introduction to the concepts of physics and their application to the world around us and beyond. Intended for non-science majors, very limited math skills are necessary. Topics include the laws of motion, conservation of energy and momentum, properties of matter, heat, sound, electricity and magnetism, light, atomic and nuclear physics, and relativity. This course will satisfy a general education core science requirement but will not serve as a prerequisite or substitute for any other physics course.
