1-3 Cr. Hrs Honors independent study credit hours are designed for special workshops, courses, and /or projects. This is a semester-long project for advanced technical and /or academic students. Each credit hour is equivalent to three hours of work per week on a project. Students should make arrangements with an instructor in their area of interest and the Honors Program Director. The goals of this study are: 1- To provide an independent learning environment where students can explore a topic of interest in a directed academic environment. 2- Allow students to pursue content areas that may not be offered as regular curricular offerings. Prerequisite: Acceptance in the Honors Program or Instructor permission.
