Available: fall, spring, summer 0 Cr. Hrs Course includes development of skills in reading and writing and speaking and listening. Upon completion of course, student will be able to read simple material on familiar subjects, will be able to write simple paragraphs on survival topics and personal issues, will be able to understand simple phrases and new phrases containing familiar vocabulary, will be able to converse on familiar topics and beyond survival needs, will have some ability to communicate on the telephone on familiar subjects, will be able to clarify speech through rewording and asking questions, and will be able to use and understand basic grammar.
