Tis course acquaints the student with skills necessary to help prepare the operating room for surgery. Emphasis is placed on psy- chosocial and physical needs of the patient requiring surgery. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Admission into the Surgical Technology program/plan 267 or 268. 3 lecture and 2 lab hours per week. 4 credit hours.
