Continuation of clinical experience in medical facility, under the supervision of the college coordinator, clinical instructor and staf personnel, and nephrologist. Development of the following skills: advanced cannula and fstula care, administration of blood, blood sample collection, medical community support; advanced principles of hemodialysis, dietary and fuid review. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in both Renal Technology 203 and Renal Technology 204, or Consent of Department Chairperson. 1 lecture and 6 lab hours per week. 3 credit hours.
