Study of cardiac, pulmonary and renal structure and function with emphasis on physiology as applied to the practice of respiratory care. Tis includes the integrated functions of ventilation, respiration, gas transport and acid base regulation. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Respiratory Care courses 114, and 116, and 117, and 118, and 119, or Consent of Department Chairperson. 150 minutes per week. 3 credit hours.
