Tis course is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to Cisco multi-protocol routers. Te class will include basic router operations, architecture, confguration and troubleshooting. Students will set up, wire and confgure various Cisco routers in an intranet work environment. Topics include: Cisco IOS, Telnet, router operating modes, RIP, IGRP, I P, and Apple Talk. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Lab fee required. Prerequisite: Networking Technologies 121, or Placement Test, or Consent of Department Chairperson. 2 lecture and 2 lab hours per week. 3 credit hours.
