Interdisciplinary approach to physical sciences; current public issues serve as framework for course that covers earth sciences (conservation, pollution, space exploration) as well as other branches of science and social humanistic aspects; integrates signifcant aspects of physical science with students other studies as well as daily living. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Placement Test, or English 100 with a grade of C or better, or Consent of Department Chairperson. 150 minutes per week. 3 credit hours.
