Students on site in the Department of Pediatrics will, under supervision, participate in patient care activities in outpatient clinics, emergency room, and pediatric inpatient services. Tey will be assigned patients for medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing in preparation for supportive roles, in the patient's management. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Admission into the Physician Assistant program/plan 262. 2 lecture and 5 lab hours per week. 3 credit hours.
