Acute and chronic respiratory and cardiac pathological processes and their associated renal complications and compensations: diagnostic testing including arterial blood gases, basic radiographic interpretation, pulmonary function studies, interpretation of laboratory studies, treatment and prevention of disease processes. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Respiratory Care courses 114, and 116, and 117, and 118, and 119 or Consent of Department Chairperson. 2 lecture and 2 lab hours per week. 3 credit hours.
