Tis course covers an introduction to Clinical Chemistry with emphasis on clinical laboratory math and principles of chemical measurements: the chemistry of proteins and carbohydrates; electrolytes and water balance, and associated diseases and conditions. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Admission to the Clinical Laboratory Technology program/plan 236, and Clinical Laboratory Technology course 106 and Clinical Laboratory Technology course 107. 1 lecture and 2 lab hours per week. 2 credit hours.
