Concepts of stress and strain relationships; analysis of elementary stress distributions and deformations; study of axial loading, shear and bending moment diagram, and bending theory application. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Engineering 206, and Math 141. 2-3 lecture and 2-3 lab hours per week. 3-4 credit hours.
