Tis course covers an introduction to the basic theory of Blood Banking, donor selection, the ABO and Rh systems and the procedures of ABO, Rh and Du Typing Tests. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Admission to the Clinical Laboratory Technology program/plan 236, and Clinical Laboratory Technology 106 course. 1 lecture and 2 lab hours per week. 2 credit hours.
