Prerequisite: MATH 102 or MATH 129 and TEED 201. An overview of instrumentation used for industrial automation and process control. Includes review of applicable DC and AC circuit theory, digital electronics, and closed-loop/open-loop control fundamentals. Also covers measurement and control of basic process variables such as pressure, level, flow, temperature, humidity, density and viscosity. Control related signal conditioning, signal transmission, programming techniques, actuators, and PID controllers are also included.
