Prerequisite: A grade of "C" or higher in MATH 117 and MATH 217. This course is designed for elementary majors. The emphasis of the course is data collection, probability, and number systems. Topics include collecting a set of data, methods of organizing data, the "center of data," the "spread" of data, standardized scores, sampling, probability, theoretical vs. experimental probability, conditional probability, counting techniques, counting specific orders, counting different groups, geometric probability, normal distribution, natural numbers and whole numbers, the set of integers, inverses, and rational number
