Prerequisite: TEED 147 and TEED 147L. Corequisite: TEED 148L. A continuing introduction to machine shop theory. Major topics include the following: the lathe, milling machines, jig borers, jig grinders, computer age machining, grinding, metallurgy, hydraulics, and special processes. Safety procedures, care and maintenance of machine tools are especially emphasized.
