Corequisite: MUSC 122. An elementary study and application of aural musical skills. A study of melodic and harmonic dictation, rhythmic reading, and rhythmic diction. Sight singing drills are conducted. Solfeggio is introduced and developed. Introduction and use of computer based music applications for ear-training drill. Tests include melodic and harmonic dictation, rhythmic dictation and error dictation. Students are required to master these skills. Students must earn a "C" or better in both MUSC 112 and MUSC 122 to progress to MUSC 113 (Ear Training/Sightsinging II) and MUSC 123 (Music Theory II).
