Corequisite: MUSC 112. A study of fundamentals of pitch and rhythmic notation, terminology, scales, and chords, incorporating skills of basic musicianship through analysis and critical study. Includes primary triads and some four part writing. Students must earn a "C" or better in both MUSC 122 and MUSC 112 to progress to MUSC 123 (Music Theory II) and MUSC 113 (Ear Training/Sightsinging II).
