3 credit hours An introduction to the lithographic printmaking process. Topics include the use of crayon, tusche, photocopy and drawing transfers, and multiple-plate printing in creating editions of lithographic prints from both metal plate and stone. Emphasis is placed upon mastery and the creative use of these printmaking techniques. It is recommended that students seeking an A.A. or A.F.A. degree complete or be currently enrolled in Art 1102, 1151, 1153, 2201, 2211, 2212 and 2213. Recommended: Art 1151. Prerequisite: Art 1101 or consent of instructor. (6 lab hours)
