3 credit hours Introduction to painting methods using various materials such as acrylic, watercolor or oil paint. Emphasis in paintings on technique and originality of content, and development of personal style. An understanding of art history as a studio tool is also emphasized. No prerequisites, but prior experience in drawing (Art 1101) and design (Art 1151 or 1152) is recommended. (6 lab hours)
