3 credit hours Introduces the theoretical and practical concepts of local area network on the Microsoft Windows Vista Operating System (OS). Includes installing and configuring the OS, administering users, managing devices, organizing file system, establishing security, and installation and configuration of networking components. Covers network and performance monitoring tools and establishes baseline for troubleshooting problems. Prerequisite: Computer and Internetworking Technologies 1121 or 1180 with a grade of "C" or better, or equivalent or consent of instructor (2 lecture hours, 2 lab hours)
