3 credit hours An introduction to the intaglio printmaking processes. Topics include etching, engraving, drypoint, aquatinting and photo-etching in creating editions of fine art prints. Emphasis is placed upon mastery and the creative use of these printmaking techniques. It is recommended that students seeking an A.A. or A.F.A. degree complete or be currently enrolled in Art 1102, 1151, 1153, 2201, 2211, 2212 and 2213. Recommended: Art 1151 Prerequisite: Art 1101 or consent of instructor. (6 lab hours)
