3 credit hours An introduction to the use of computer hardware and two-dimensional software in the creation of unique works of visual art from a fine arts perspective. Topics will include the creation and manipulation of direct-drawn, formula-generated and photographic images. Techniques will include the use of a stylus, a scanner and a printer for use in bitmap and vector-based software. This is not a graphic design computer course. It is recommended that students seeking an A.A. or A.F.A degree complete or be currently enrolled in Art 1102, 1151, 1153, 2201, 2211, 2212 and 2213. Recommend Art 1101 and 1151 or consent of instructor. (6 lab hours)
