This course is designed for students in the dental hygiene program. The student should have a fundamental background in general chemistry. The course consists of one credit hour for lecture and one credit hour for the laboratory. Topics covered include general organic, proteins, lipids, carbohydrates and basic metabolism. The lab correlates with the lecture.
