Prerequisite: CO 130 (Introduction to Network Concepts). Students will build on the foundation of Introduction to Network Concepts by introducing several advanced topics. The focus of the class will include: the physical aspects of computer network installation and cabling, physical and logical network topologies, wireless networking, IP addressing, and network standards. Students will also focus on the network administrator's role and function, the development of practical experience in skills related to configuring LANs, and Internetwork Packet Exchange (IPX) as well as network troubleshooting. (Offered fall semester)
