This course is designed for those enrolled in the Veterinary Technology program and for health professionals. Its objective is to familiarize students with mathematics frequently used in veterinary technology and health-related professions. Students also learn some mathematical and laboratory terminology in this course. Topics include a brief review of fractions, decimals, percents, algebra, ratios and proportions, systems of measurements, solutions, medication and dosage. While there is no prerequisite, a working knowledge of arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, decimals and percent, is expected. (Offered fall semester)
