This course is designed to provide students with minimum background in mathematics an opportunity to be introduced to algebra, its basic concepts and operational background. The course is designed to prepare students for subsequent courses in mathematics. Topics for the course include the real number system, equations and methods of solution, factoring, exponents, rational expressions and problem solving. This course does not count toward graduation.
