Prerequisite: BU109 (Introduction to Computer Information Systems-IBM) or permission of instructor. Students are offered basic skills necessary to creat images for use in television, Internet and other visual electronic media. The course will focus on video gathering, linear and non-linear video editing, 2-and 3-dimensional computer graphics, character generation, and digital special effects creation. The student will work extensively with computer generated and manipulated images. The course also provides basic theory on lighting, composition, movement, shot selection, editing and post productio techniques as they apply to commercial and entertainment production. (Offered fall semester)
