Prerequisite: NS225 (Medical-Surgical Nursing III) and NS295 (Nursing Microbiology). The care of clients experiencing complex alterations in health is examined within the scope of practice of associate degree nursing. The concepts of life span, nursing process and the wellness-illness continuum are emphasized. Prevention and rehabilitation are incorporated. The roles of the nurse as a client teacher and client care manager are included. Simulated and actual care situations are utilized. A laboratory component is included. (Lab fee required) (Offered spring semester)
