Prerequisite: C or better in MUSC 1116 or permission of the instructor A continuation of Music 1116. Advanced study of scales, chords, notation chord grammar, ear training and sight singing. An in-depth study of harmony including voice leading, harmonic progression, dominant seventh chord, leading-tone seventh chord, nondominant seventh chords, modulation and secondary dominants and leading-tone chords. This course is required for students pursuing an AFA in Music degree. Students must also register for MUSC 1127 - Aural Comprehension II.
