Prerequisite: Admission to PTA program The course covers basic patient handling and physical therapy skills. It includes lab practice of body mechanics, posture, draping and positioning, transfers, joint range of motion, goniometry, ambulation with assistive devices, wheelchair operations, vital signs, edema control and sterile techniques. A problem solving focus will be used throughout the program.
